2023 Q1 Greenprints: We-Recycle's Growing Impact

We are delighted to share the highlights of our activities in the first quarter of 2023:

January
  • Conducted an awareness campaign in Canot, reaching 31 individuals, despite torrential rains.
 
February
  • Held two awareness campaigns in Albion, sensitizing 51 residents on plastic recycling.

  • Participated in the World Without Waste Campaign by The Coco-Cola Foundation, with the help of 11 UTM volunteers, collecting 2 tonnes of waste across the Plaines Wilhems region.

  • Joined the 8th edition of Odysseo @ The Beach, collecting 30 kg of waste for plastic fishing activities at Le Bouchon.

  • Deployed the ‘Oui, Recycle!’ awareness campaign in primary schools across Black River and Savanne.

March
  • Conducted a learning workshop with 43 Form 5 students of Le Bocage International School.

  • Officialised partnership with Casela Nature Parks to run operations at Casela.

  • Celebrated Global Recycling Day with a team-building activity at Casela Nature Parks.

  • Participated in the World Without Waste Campaign by The Coco-Cola Foundation, collecting 2.6 tonnes of waste across South and South-East regions.

  • Launched the Expansion Project with The Coca-Cola Foundation.

  • Organized a beach clean-up with Le Bocage International School students at Albion Public Beach for International Day of Zero Waste, collecting 26 kg of waste.

  • Successfully implemented the ‘Oui, Recycle!’ awareness campaign in 17 primary schools, reaching 2,269 students and involving 9 educators.
